Civil servants in the state have been called upon to put their best for the accelerated development of the state and betterment of the public service. Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro made the call when he led staff of his office in a special prayer session to mark the New Year. The state deputy governor said the prayer was to thank God for all that he did in 2015 and what he would do in 2016.

According to him, every genuine child of God has the right to use prayers to determine how things should look like and wondered why some believers did not take advantage of this grace, to prophesy good things into their lives. The Deputy Governor advised staff of his office to work as a team in contributing their quota in the actualization of the divine mandate of the present administration.

He lauded management and staff of his office for their performance last year and enjoined them to do even better this year. He reaffirmed that the present economic challenge would not hinder Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from fulfilling his development master plan, urging all to rely on God for direction.

The Deputy Governor expressed optimism that 2016 would yield increase for Deltans. Barrister Otuaro later led staff on special prayers for the betterment of the' Governor and his team as well as Deltans as the occasion was engulf with praise and worship session by staff.

The event was witnessed by both political appointees of the Deputy Governor as well as management and staff of the Office including the Deputy Chief of staff, Hon. Steve Eruotor and Permanent Secretary, Office of The Deputy Governor, Mr. Nduka Okonkwo.
