Delta State Government will soon make a pronouncement on what to do to the uncompleted Bus Rapid Terminal Lane (BRT) project in the ever busy Effurun/Sapele Road, Effurun.

Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, who gave the cheering news during his courtesy call to HRM Emmanuel Ekemejewan Sideso (JP) Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom at his temporal palace, Jakpa Road, Effurun at the weekend, however disclosed that before government will make a pronouncement on the issue, government will hold a stakeholders meeting on what to do about the uncompleted BRT Project. "This government is a government that takes interest of the various stakeholders into cognizance in whatever we want to do. So that we should not be seen as taking unilateral decisions on issues without taking cognizance of the interest of the people". The Deputy Governor explained.

He then disclosed, "His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has sent me to humbly ask that you (Abe 1) should send your representative to the stakeholders meeting on the BRT project that is squarely in your domain. That is why we are here, your royal majesty." According to the Ijaw born deputy governor, besides the palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, members of the National Union of Road Transport Union Workers (NTRUW) and other opinion leaders would be invited to the stakeholders meeting billed to hold in Warri few days after the visit.

He had earlier expressed appreciation to the Uvwie monarch for his support and prayers for governor Okowa and himself during the electioneering period even as he sought for the continuous support and prayers from the highly esteemed traditional ruler for the administration of governor Okowa/Otuaro to succeed.

In his response Abe 1 remarked that the visit was a show of humility by his royal guest as he noted that humility is one of the key to success in life. The Deputy Governor was accompanied on the visit by the pioneer Executive Chairman of DESOPADEC, a bosom friend and a Secondary School mate of Abe 1, Okpara and also Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Chief Steve Eruotor amongst others.

High point of the visit were prayers said by the traditional ruler for the Deputy Governor Barr. Otuaro, High Chief Okrika and other members of the delegation.
